Voice Cloning Consent Policy

Clone only voices you have written permission to clone.

Voice cloning is powerful and easy to misuse. We require explicit consent for every voice — yours, your spokesperson's, your client's, anyone's. This page explains what counts as consent and how we enforce it.

Who can be cloned

• Yourself — your own voice, no extra paperwork.
• An adult who has signed a written consent covering use, scope, and acknowledgement that the voice may be synthesised.
• A licensed voice actor under a contract that explicitly grants synthesis rights.

Who cannot be cloned

• Public figures, celebrities, politicians, or anyone famous without their direct verified consent.
• Deceased individuals without explicit consent from their estate.
• Minors under 18 — even with parental consent, except in documented entertainment or educational projects with parental and applicable union approval.
• Anyone whose voice was captured without their knowledge — secret recordings, voicemails, livestream audio, etc.

The consent statement

By submitting audio for cloning you confirm that:

1. You own the voice in the sample or hold a signed consent from the speaker.
2. You will produce the consent document within 7 days on request.
3. You will not use the clone in ways that breach our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. You will keep consent records for at least 3 years after the clone is deleted.

Submitting a voice without consent is grounds for immediate termination and may expose you to civil and criminal liability under right-of-publicity and impersonation laws.

Enforcement

We may request the consent record for any clone at any time. Failure to produce it within 7 days disables the clone. We audit a random sample of clones each month; high-traffic clones are audited more often.

If someone has cloned your voice without permission, email support@chosenvoiceai.com with the clone or generation URL, a fresh recording of your voice for comparison, and any context — where you found it, who you suspect, anything useful. Confirmed cases are disabled within 48 hours.

Right to be forgotten

You may request deletion of any clone of you at any time, whether or not you originally consented. Email support@chosenvoiceai.com. We delete the clone and all derived audio within 30 days.
